Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Businessappraisal website and business valuation tool. By using our services you agree to these Terms.
Accounts
You create an account with your email address and a one-time code we send you. You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. You must give an accurate email address and keep your access credentials secure. You agree to provide figures you are authorized to submit.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by interfering with the platform, attempting to access accounts or figures that are not yours, reverse-engineering the tool, or using it to violate any law or third-party right.
Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis as shown at signup. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or under any money-back period we offer. We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Any plans and prices shown on the site are presentational and may change.
The figures you enter and ownership
You retain all rights to the financial figures you enter, such as revenue, EBITDA, SDE, and growth. We use those figures only to produce your estimate and to operate the service for you. We do not sell or share your figures with third parties, and we do not connect to your bank or accounting accounts. You enter your numbers yourself, and we claim no ownership over the figures you provide.
Educational estimate, not an appraisal
The output of Businessappraisal is an educational estimate produced for informational purposes only. It combines a revenue multiple, an EBITDA or SDE multiple, and a discounted cash flow method, benchmarked against comparable transactions, and explains the drivers behind the range. It is not a certified appraisal, a USPAP valuation, a fairness opinion, or financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
The actual price a business trades at depends on negotiation, the specific buyer, and the terms of the deal, and it may differ materially from any estimate shown here. For a formal valuation, consult a credentialed appraiser, such as one holding an ABV, CVA, or ASA designation, and consult qualified financial, tax, and legal advisors before acting on any figure.
Service availability
We work to keep the service available and reliable but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Enterprise plans may include specific service-level agreements.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Businessappraisal is not liable for any decision made in reliance on an estimate, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, we will delete or return your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
